VALORANT EP4 CG - Warm Up

This was one of my most difficult challenges at VALORANT. On this production, our brand manager had recently left so I was pulling a bit of double duty as both the producer and brand manager. Having made other VALORANT videos at this point, I had a eye for the style of the brand and what they wanted to aspire towards.

In addition, we had no new map to reveal so we collaborated a lot with the map developers and the narrative team to create a new training space where the agents would hang out when they weren’t off on their missions. We went through a phase of production that was new to me- visual development. In game development this is a typical process as they explore how they want the environment to look and feel.

It ended up being a throwback to gaming itself, playing at the computer to level yourself up and eventually joining the fray with friends to help conquer the enemy. Long live Maxbot!
